Demonstration for process risk mitigation for a fertilizer manufacturer in Europe

Our client, a European fertilizer manufacturer, wanted to conduct a review of their process safety risks identified in various studies developed during a revamp project for ammonia and urea plant and identify all risks related with potential Major Accident Hazards (MAH) that could cause harm to operators, environment and company reputation. Tech Safety Group review the entire engineering documentation, including the existing old plant, and provide a series of deliverables and recommendations consisting in:

  • As Low As Reasonable Practicable (ALARP) Demonstration Guideline
  • Risk Criteria Guideline
  • Ammonia and Urea Plant Risk Register (based on a cloud platform accessible to all operational personnel)
  • Risk Register development methodology and report for future reviews

Under a tight schedule, the job requires specific expertise in ammonia and urea technologies to identify the correct associated process risks, correspondent protective barriers and mitigation measures to prevent major accidents.
